Brian D. Eilers is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM practitioner and a Certified Investment Management Analyst^®.  He joined M.J. Smith and Associates in 1998 and became a principal in 2005.  Eilers is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association and the Colorado chapter of the Financial Planning Association^TM.

Eilers provides comprehensive financial planning to individuals, families, and business owners.  His expertise includes finding solutions for clients in the areas of proper investment asset allocation; long-term care, life and disability insurance needs; college education planning; and retirement cash flow planning.  Additionally, as the firm's Chief Compliance Officer, Eilers is responsible for formulating and implementing the firm's compliance policies and procedures in order to meet strict adherence to the industry's rules and regulations.

Eilers holds a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in finance from the University of Colorado-Denver, and a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Colorado State University.  His family includes his wife, Susie, and children, Ashley, Rachel, and Zachary.
